A Twin Cities holiday tradition!

A miserly and miserable man, Ebenezer Scrooge greets each Christmas with a “bah humbug,” until he is visited one Christmas Eve by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Future. Through a restless night, the spirits show him happy memories from his past, cruel realities from the present and the grim future should he continue his cantankerous ways.

Charles Dickens’ A CHRISTMAS CAROL is a perennial favorite that continues our holiday tradition for the 43rd year. Now is the time to experience this cherished production with your loved ones!

Tuesday Team Story!

Sarah and Siobhan FB.jpg
Realtor, Siobhan Tidmarsh handles many things on the C | C Group team ranging all the way from client management, to marketing, to buyer agent representation. In the time she is not staging homes or running to closings, showings, meetings, and Tuesday Tours, Siobhan teaches Irish dance as a Senior Instructor at the Rince na Chroi School of Irish Dance.
Siobhan has been dancing since age 4, starting off with the Trinity Academy of Irish Dance and then receiving most of her training from Anam Mor. She has had the opportunity to compete and perform all over the world.  She has been with Rince na Chroi since 2010.
Sarah Becker has been a part of the C | C Group for just over a year. While managing her class schedule at the University of St. Thomas, Sarah handles the social media and marketing for the C | C Group. Like Siobhan, Sarah is also involved in Irish dance. She began her dancing career with Rince na Chroi in 2007 and continues to dance today in the top class.
Siobhan and Sarah began dancing together in the same dance class in 2011 and Siobhan later became Sarah’s dance instructor in 2012. Siobhan later retired from dancing, however still continues to teach Sarah’s class and all classes at the Rince na Chroi School of Irish Dance.
Not only do Siobhan and Sarah work together within the C | C Group, but they also work together on a student- teacher basis at dance, and their friendship has grown from there.

“Siobhan has been like a big sister to me for as long as I have know her. I am lucky to have a role model like Siobhan who teaches me to be strong and motivated. She demonstrates strong work ethic at both dance and work. I have learned so much from Siobhan, and not just my dance moves!”, says Sarah Becker.

At Home with Cari Ann

A Lifestyle Story

Cari Ann Carter, CO-owner of C | C Group has had a passion for Homes and Design dating back to childhood. Recently she and her daughter moved into their new home. We had an opportunity to visit with Cari Ann about her recent move, raising a family, and career. Adobe Spark-5-2.jpeg

“During this holiday season, I thought it was a perfect opportunity to talk about gratitude, support, and thanks. Creating a home and helping people make that dream a reality is something I have had the opportunity to share with families for 20 years with Edina Realty. “
Cari Ann FINAL-5714.jpg
“My family and friends  have been enormous supporters over the years with what can be a very demanding career.  My daughter, Emily has been especially supportive as I have  built my business. The key for me in finding balance at home, managing activities and the career has always been about the support system.  Community, family friendships and being close to School are a huge part of that balance and absolutely contribute to managing the schedule successfully. I was fortunate enough to recently find the perfect house for me and my daughter that emulates the quality and design I so adore in older homes.  That perfect blend to live and entertain in is what people love. Creating a home to come home to and relax in is important to everyone.”
Cari Ann FINAL-5704
“I am grateful every day for my daughter, my family my friends and you.  The recent merger with my dear friend and business partner, Stephanie Chandler has been a true blessing and I am thankful for our team and what we have created.  This truly is a time to give thanks and be grateful for the people in our life.  I wish you all a beautiful Thanksgiving. -Cari Ann”
Thank you to Jamie Cramble Photography for the beautiful family photos.
Look for the feature piece on Stephanie Chandler in the month of December.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Natural Elements

Look to nature for easy, elegant ways to embellish your Thanksgiving table. Bring the beautiful colors of fall to your table by incorporating gourds and pumpkins into your centerpiece and topping each place setting with a pear.

Fall Florals

Create a floral centerpiece fit for Thanksgiving by adding berries or mini pumpkins to an arrangement of red, orange and yellow flowers.  Pair this warm floral centerpiece with ice-blue place mats for a striking contrast.

Candleholder Conversion

Try using items you already own in a creative and unexpected way when designing your Thanksgiving tablescape. Candleholders also make great pedestals for mini pumpkins.

Dressed Up Basics

You don’t have to buy brand-new dinnerware to create a beautiful Thanksgiving table. Top simple white plates with crimson napkins for a splash of rich, fall color.

Highland Water Tower Open House

The water tower is a Highland neighborhood landmark located at the intersection of Snelling Avenue and Ford Parkway.

The tower, which was designed by Clarence Wigington, was completed in 1928. Wigington, a city of Saint Paul architect from 1915 to 1949, also designed many other important structures in the area, including the  the Saint Paul Public Safety Building (1929–30) and Como Park Pavilion (1934).

The construction of the Highland water tower includes facings of Kasota and Bedford stone and a riveted steel-plate tank with a capacity of 200,000 gallons.

The 127-foot tower is no longer in service.

The tower is open to the public twice a year:

  • The weekend of Highland Fest, July 15 -16, 2017.
  • The second weekend in October, for the viewing of the fall colors. Oct. 14 -15, 2017.
  • The tower is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
